The Extreme 6x8 is Survive-A-Storm’s largest welded above-ground shelter — a massive ¼″ ballistic-grade American steel fortress that protects up to 16 people from EF5 tornadoes (winds over 250 mph). This is the exact model shown in the official catalog as the “Extreme 6x8” — the 8x6 designation simply means the door is on the long (96") side for easier garage or corner installs.
With its huge interior, lockable storage benches, and debris-proof inward-swinging door, it doubles as a true community safe room or panic room.
